Construction Manager

Our client, a global consulting firm, is supporting a major capital expansion program for a large industrial-grade boiler manufacturing organisation in India. The engagement focuses on optimising program design, improving schedule accuracy, and driving CAPEX efficiency for a large-scale factory expansion.

They are looking for a consulting professional with strong experience in large CAPEX and infrastructure programs, ideally within engineering, construction, or heavy manufacturing environments. The consultant will work closely with client leadership, PMCs, design partners, and internal project teams to improve execution discipline and deliver measurable program outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and refine detailed master schedules for accuracy and alignment with program milestones
• Facilitate planning and scheduling workshops with cross-functional stakeholders
• Support deployment and adoption of digital solutions for project planning and monitoring
• Drive structured coordination between project teams, PMC, design organisations, and subcontractors
• Maintain day-to-day oversight of PMC execution progress to ensure schedule adherence
• Establish governance mechanisms, including reporting dashboards, milestone reviews, and performance tracking

Your background:

• 10+ years of experience managing large CAPEX programs, preferably within construction-led sectors
• Strong hands-on experience with scheduling tools (Primavera, MS Projects)
• Experience working with engineering or construction organisations, or as a project management consultant in similar environments
• Postgraduate degree (engineering or management) from a top-tier institution is mandatory
• Prior experience with organisations such as L&T, ISGEC, ThyssenKrupp, Praj Industries will be highly preferred

Other details:

• Location: On-site in Pune, with travel to project sites as required
• Contract duration: 12 months initially, with strong extension potential based on performance
• Engagement type: Full-time contractual role, working closely with client and PMC teams
