Job Description

  • Project management: Oversee daily construction activities, manage timelines, and ensure the project stays within budget and meets quality standards.
  • Team and resource management: Coordinate and direct construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, while managing the allocation of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Safety and compliance: Enforce safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications, conduct site inspections to identify hazards, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communication: Act as a primary point of contact between the project management team, clients, contractors, and workers.
  • Quality control: Inspect work to ensure it meets project standards and specifications, and identify and resolve issues to maintain high quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and quality control measures, including daily and monthly reports.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Technical skills: Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction processes, and building codes is essential.
  • Leadership and communication: The ability to effectively lead and motivate a team, and communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Must be able to identify and resolve issues that arise on site.
  • Attention to detail: Required for tasks like inspecting work quality and maintaining accurate documentation.

Education: Often requires a diploma/degree in civil engineering with required experience around 4-8 years.
