Role Summary
The Head – Construction Finance Valuations will lead and scale PropEdge's Construction Finance valuation business across India. The role combines business development, client relationship management, technical leadership, team management, delivery oversight, and strategic account acquisition.
The ideal candidate will possess strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, HFCs, AIFs, PE funds, and institutional lenders, along with deep expertise in real estate valuation, project risk assessment, and construction finance underwriting.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute the national growth strategy for the Construction Finance vertical.
- Acquire mandates from banks, NBFCs, HFCs, AIFs, PE funds, and ARC platforms.
- Build strong relationships with credit heads, risk teams, valuation policy teams, and project finance stakeholders.
- Drive empanelments, RFQs, RFPs, and strategic partnerships.
- Build a strong revenue pipeline and achieve assigned business targets.
Technical & Delivery Leadership
- Lead execution of construction finance valuations, technical due diligence, project cash flow analysis, residual land valuations, and development viability assessments.
- Oversee lender's independent engineer assignments, project monitoring mandates, stress testing, and security cover assessments.
- Review complex assignments across mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, warehousing, township, redevelopment, and land asset classes.
- Personally manage marquee and high-value mandates.
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale a pan-India technical team.
- Recruit senior resources and drive productivity, turnaround time, and quality standards.
- Establish SOPs, review mechanisms, and audit frameworks to ensure delivery consistency.
Client Management
- Serve as the senior relationship owner for key lender and institutional accounts.
- Present valuation methodologies to CXOs, credit committees, and risk teams.
- Resolve technical escalations and client disputes effectively.
Strategic Initiatives
- Develop sector-specific valuation frameworks and data-led valuation models.
- Create differentiated offerings around portfolio reviews, developer benchmarking, construction analytics, and early warning risk monitoring.
Ideal Candidate ProfileExperience
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in construction finance, technical appraisal, real estate valuation, project finance, or risk advisory.
- Prior experience with real estate consulting firms, institutional valuation firms, or lender technical/risk teams preferred.
Must-Have Skills
- Existing relationships with 15–20 active lending institutions.
- Proven business development and client acquisition track record.
- Strong understanding of lender underwriting and risk assessment processes.
- Experience managing multi-city teams and large-scale mandates.
