Position Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator to support our expanding pipeline of renovation and construction projects across the U.S. This role is ideal for an international estimator with strong English communication skills, solid construction knowledge, and the ability to develop accurate estimates—even when project information is limited.
You will work closely with our U.S.-based estimating team to perform take-offs, pricing, and proposal support in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Quantity Take-Offs
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs using drawings, photos, videos, and limited documentation
- Apply logical reasoning and scaling techniques when dimensions are not fully defined
- Conduct detailed counting and measurement tasks
- Clearly document assumptions and calculations
Pricing & Vendor Coordination
- Source and validate material and labor pricing using internal databases, online research, and vendor outreach
- Request, review, and compare subcontractor quotes
- Ensure pricing aligns with current market conditions
Proposal & Scope Development
- Prepare clear and client-ready scope descriptions
- Modify templates to align with specific project requirements
- Coordinate with estimating and project teams to ensure bid accuracy
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with project managers and sales teams to gather missing information
- Communicate professionally with U.S.-based stakeholders in English
Post-Bid Support (as needed)
- Assist with procurement and vendor sourcing after project award
- Participate in feedback reviews to improve future estimates
Qualifications
- 8+ years of construction estimating experience (commercial or multifamily preferred)
- Familiarity with U.S. construction methods, materials, and units
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Reliable internet connection and availability during U.S. Eastern Time hours
