Job Description

Software Requirements:

  • Core Technologies:
  • TAL/pTAL
  • TACL
  • Guardian
  • SQL/MX & Enscribe Database
  • Pathways
  • COBOL
  • Standards and Protocols:
  • AS2805 and ISO Standards and message formats
  • Knowledge of scheme regulations and procedures for VISA, MasterCard, and EFTPOS
  • Experience with MasterCard, VISA, and FINSIM simulators

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to apply design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation principles.
  • Develop high-quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage.
  • Contribute to the technical design for system enhancements and new features.
  • Participate actively as a member of the software development team with minimal supervision and occasional guidance.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to non-technical team members as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Contribute to support and technical troubleshooting activities.

Technical Skills:

  • Required Skills:
  • experience in HPE Nonstop development.
  • Strong expertise in Connex and its architecture, including components such as AP, TH, PI, and SDX.
  • Proficiency in TAL/pTAL, TACL, Guardian, SQL/MX, Enscribe, and COBOL.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS2805 and ISO standards and message formats.
  • Familiarity with Visa, MasterCard, and EFTPOS scheme regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with MasterCard, VISA, and FINSIM simulators.

Experience:

  • 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in Connex and HPE Nonstop environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Collaborate with team members on design and development tasks.
  • Write, test, and maintain code for new and existing software applications.
  • Engage in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in HPE Nonstop or related technologies are a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
