Job Description: Connex Developer

Position Title: Lead/Associate Specialist / Specialist /

Software Requirements

Technical Expertise

Proficiency in TAL/pTAL, TACL, Guardian, and COBOL.
Strong understanding of SQL/MX and the Enscribe database.
Experience with Pathways and HPE NonStop development standards.

Connex System Knowledge

In-depth understanding of Connex system architecture and components, including AP, TH, PI, and SDX.
Familiarity with AS2805 and ISO standards, along with related message formats.

Payment Systems

Knowledge of scheme regulations and procedures for VISA, MasterCard, and EFTPOS.

Simulation Experience

Hands-on experience with MasterCard, VISA, and FINSIM simulators.

Overall Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance Connex solutions based on business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions across the Connex platform.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle: coding, testing, deployment.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Connex-related issues.
Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and enhancements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best development practices.

Category-wise Technical Skills

Programming Languages

Expertise in TAL/pTAL, TACL, and COBOL programming.

Database Management

Proficiency in SQL/MX and Enscribe, including data modeling and query optimization.

Connex Architecture

Strong understanding of Connex components (AP, TH, PI, SDX) and their integration.

Standards Compliance

Knowledge of AS2805 and ISO standards.
Familiarity with payment processing regulations.

Simulation Tools

Experience using MasterCard, VISA, and FINSIM simulators.

Experience

710 years of professional experience in software development, specifically with Connex solutions and HPE NonStop systems.
Proven track record of delivering projects in financial services or payment processing environments.

Day-to-Day Activities

Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and design Connex-related solutions.
Write, test, and deploy code for enhancements and new features.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Connex applications.
Document technical specifications and processes for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
