We are looking for a highly motivated, well-qualified software engineer to help develop and maintain build configurations for a large, multi-platform, suite of drug discovery scientific software. The qualified individual will also be working on continuous integration setup, build and test automation, and deployment of the software suite. The ability to work on multiple platforms, troubleshoot complex software systems, multi-task, and write robust software solutions would be key to being successful in this position. The configuration management engineer is also expected to interact and work alongside the scientific developers and key players in the IT group.

What you'll do:

  • Work alongside highly skilled software engineers and scientific developers providing solutions for drug discovery modeling to accelerate efforts to design and discovery novel pharmaceutical compounds for human health.
  • Manage and extend the automated build and testing framework to support all applications and toolkits in the OpenEye suite.
  • Work with scientific developers to understand and troubleshoot platform-specific issues in their code.
  • Modernize existing build infrastructure to ensure we keep pace with changes operating systems, languages, etc.

What you should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 1-3+ years relevant experience developing in modern scientific languages (Python/C++/etc.)
  • Experience with build scripts, build management and continuous integration
  • Good people/communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to work under a development schedule, balancing features with delivery

The following are a PLUS, but not required:

  • 3-5+ years experience developing in C/C++ and related build systems with CMake
  • Experience with build management of large scale, complex code base
  • Continuous Integration experience with TeamCity
