Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Configuration Management Engineer II to work with us in Bangalore, India.

As a Configuration Management Engineer II, you will be part of the HSV Software team in the SVG group, working from India. The HSV Software team works with the Palladium emulation platform and Protium prototyping platforms and enables engineering productivity across global development workflows. In this role, you will focus on enabling AI adoption across HSV engineering by developing, deploying, and maintaining AI-enabled environments, tools, and workflows. You will help engineering teams integrate AI capabilities into day-to-day development, debugging, knowledge discovery, automation, and productivity workflows while ensuring the solutions are usable, reliable, measurable, and aligned with business needs.To understand more about what we do, you can visit https://www.cadence.com/en_US/home/tools/system-design-and-verification.html.

Job Description:
. Develop, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled tools, environments, and workflows for HSV Software engineering teams.
. Build internal utilities, automation scripts, and services that make AI capabilities easier to access and use in daily engineering work.
. Integrate AI solutions with existing engineering infrastructure, development environments, source repositories, internal knowledge sources, and enterprise platforms.
. Support evaluation systems for AI-enabled products and workflows, including benchmarks, test datasets, quality metrics, regression checks, and reporting.
. Work closely with engineering users to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, improve usability, and drive practical AI adoption.
. Apply LLM and agent concepts to enable assisted workflows such as knowledge retrieval, task automation, tool usage, and workflow orchestration.
. Implement guardrails, monitoring, access controls, and human-review mechanisms for AI-assisted engineering workflows.
Requirements:
. Complete bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
. 2+ years of software development experience.
. Advanced proficiency in Python.
. Experience developing internal tools, automation, services, or engineering productivity solutions.
. Understanding of LLM concepts, AI agents, prompt engineering, tool calling, and RAG-based workflows.
. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and support engineering users.
. Very good spoken and written English.
Nice to have:
. Experience integrating AI tools with CI/CD systems, enterprise platforms, internal knowledge bases, or access-control systems.
. Familiarity with AI evaluation, benchmarking, model-quality measurement, or metrics-driven product improvement.
. Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, or AI-based knowledge retrieval systems.
. Familiarity with orchestration tools such as LangChain, CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar agent frameworks.
. Experience with other programming languages like C++ or TCL.
. Knowledge of EDA, VLSI design, design verification, emulation, prototyping, Palladium, or Protium workflows.
