Job Description For Concept Artist
Gamix Labs is looking for an experienced Concept Artist who can create interactive art for all kinds of games. In this role you will be responsible for creating interactive concept art for games
Concept Artist Responsibilities :-
Create quick and detailed drawings and paintings of environments, characters, buildings, vehicles and props (including creation of thumbnails and wireframes).
Use traditional and technological approaches to create designs in 2D through drawing and painting.
Explain and pitch your ideas clearly to the client and design team.
Respond positively to client feedback.
Adapt and refine your work based on client response.
Maintain good communication with the client.
Be confident using creative programmes and technologies e.g. Photoshop, Maya, Painter and SketchU
Research topics and information for points of reference and ideas to use in your designs.
Create specification sheets, accurately noting dimensions and details for others to follow meet strict deadlines.
Concept Artist Requirements :-
Experience & knowledge in creating 2D pixel art and vector art, including color, lighting and composition.
Understands character development, anatomical proportions and physiology.
Excellent background and layout sensibilities.
Extensive experience with 2D art tools and authoring tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
