Expert knowledge and algorithm experiences in 3DGS ( Gaussian Splatting ) and/or NeRF, 3D Reconstruction and Novel View Synthesis
1. High-level Description of need (ie, Problem Statement):
Examples of rare and unusual objects is a continued need in ZR6, ZR7 and beyond. 3D reconstruction of agents can turn a handful of logs into thousands of examples in different situations and environmental conditions. This will save significant time for mining, hand labeling ground truth, and production of 3D models for sim. In addition, a different project development requires close-loop sensor simulation. Right now we don't have internal resources to develop these two key technology capabilities and need a contractor to move forward the algorithm development for these two capabilities.
2. Requirements vendors supporting the need (skillsets, offerings, etc):
a. Minimum MS in Computer Science or a related field, PhD preferred
b. At least 3+ years of industry experience
c. Proficient in Pytorch coding for ML modeling, training and eval
d. Expert knowledge and algorithm experiences in 3DGS and/or NeRF, 3D Reconstruction and Novel View Synthesis
