Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Computer Vision Engineer. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing computer vision applications, designing algorithms, performing pattern recognition, and contributing to AI-driven healthcare technologies. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to realize machine learning solutions and address complex problems in healthcare.
This role goes beyond simply running models. You will be expected to think critically about model behavior, data patterns, system performance, medical data analysis and real-world deployment challenges.
What You'll Do
- Work with medical imaging datasets
- Run and evaluate AI systems on real-world imaging data
- Analyze model outputs to identify patterns, errors, and opportunities for improvement
- Investigate imaging cases to better understand abnormalities detected by AI systems
- Experiment with ideas from recent research and literature to improve system performance
- Develop tools and scripts to support evaluation and analysis of imaging data
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve system reliability
- Assist in preparing AI systems for deployment in real-world healthcare environments
- Document findings and contribute to improving AI workflows and system performance
- Participate in internal discussions around improving our AI platform and imaging pipelines
What We're Looking For
- Solid foundation in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition techniques, with applied experience. Minimum of 1-3 years experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Pytorch, Deep Learning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Experience working with image data and evaluating model outputs
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with effective communication skills.
- Curiosity to explore research ideas and test improvements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment
Good to Have
- Exposure to medical imaging data or healthcare AI
- Experience participating in AI competitions, research projects, publications or open-source work
- Interest in reading and experimenting with recent AI research
- Experience working with data-driven systems or AI-based products
- Prior experience working in a startup or product-focused environment
