We are looking for a skilled Computer Vision and AR Intern to join our early engineering efforts for an indoor navigation project. The goal is to build a working prototype that combines AR-based navigation, visual landmark detection and lightweight visual localization for complex indoor environments.
This role is a good fit for someone who wants hands-on experience with applied computer vision, AR frameworks and rapid prototyping. You will work closely with the founder and contribute directly to building an MVP within a focused development timeline.
Responsbilibties
- Develop AR navigation flows using Unity with AR Foundation or similar tools
- Implement visual landmark detection and simple visual positioning through feature matching or neural descriptors
- Build step-based indoor navigation paths and connect them with AR overlays
- Help design and test a small SLAM-like pipeline for environment understanding
- Collect and process visual data and evaluate matching performance
- Integrate basic language model instructions into the navigation experience
- Support prototype demos and documentation
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of computer vision concepts such as feature extraction, matching and pose estimation
- Experience with Python, OpenCV and either PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Familiarity with Unity, ARCore, ARKit or AR Foundation or the willingness to learn quickly
- Ability to read and implement ideas from research papers
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with fast development cycles
College Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech / M.Tech / PhD in Computer Science, Electronics, AI and ML, Robotics or a closely related field
- Candidates from IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS or top engineering colleges are strongly encouraged to apply
- Students working on strong computer vision, AR or robotics projects for their coursework or capstones will be a good fit
Preferred Skills
- Experience in AR development or mobile-based tracking
- Exposure to SLAM, visual odometry, 3D reconstruction or NeRF workflows
- Work on robotics or indoor localization projects
- Experience integrating APIs or lightweight AI systems
Who Should Apply
Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Electronics, AI and ML, Robotics or related fields who are interested in AR, computer vision and practical system building. This role suits individuals who can commit steady hours each week and iterate quickly on prototypes.
What You Will Gain
- Real experience building an AR navigation MVP from scratch
- Exposure to visual localization and mobile AR systems
- A portfolio project with real-world impact
- Mentorship and potential long-term collaboration
- This is a paid role
