About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to teach students from Classes 1–6. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing foundational digital literacy, computational thinking, and basic programming skills in young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach age-appropriate concepts such as computer fundamentals, digital literacy, MS Office applications, internet safety, and basic coding.
- Introduce students to computational thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving through hands-on activities and project-based learning.
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning. Assess practical assignments, projects, and classroom activities.
- Supervise and maintain the computer laboratory to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Monitor the proper use and care of computers, peripherals, and digital resources.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory rules and safety protocols.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), school events, workshops, and professional development programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology into cross-curricular learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications (BCA/MCA), or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, educational technology, and age-appropriate programming concepts.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE or reputed school.
