What You'll Do
As a CNC Programmer / CAD-CAM Programmer, you will be responsible for creating accurate CAD drawings, optimizing slab layouts, and programming CNC equipment for stone countertop fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify CAD drawings for granite and stone countertops based on client specifications, architectural plans, and shop drawings.
- Use SlabSmith and AlphaCAM to develop CNC programs for cutting and shaping granite countertops.
- Review slab layouts to maximize material yield and minimize waste.
- Work closely with sales personnel, templaters, designers, installers, programmers, and production staff to ensure designs are accurate and practical for fabrication.
- Interpret customer drawings, architectural plans, blueprints, and specification sheets.
- Review and approve final CAD drawings before fabrication and installation.
- Identify design or programming issues and develop practical solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work according to project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, revisions, and modifications.
- Manage your own workflow and consistently deliver accurate work on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with team members throughout the design and programming process.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Qualifications
- 0-2+ years of experience in CNC programming, preferably involving construction, stone, countertop, or fabrication projects. -
- AutoCAD Software
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM programming and CNC processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, shop drawings, and customer specifications.
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot design/programming issues, and recommend solutions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience with one or more of the following will be advantageous:

Experience reading blueprints and working with architectural/design specifications is highly valued.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Relevant CNC programming experience is required, with 2+ years preferred.
- Experience in the construction, stone, granite, countertop, or related fabrication industry is preferred.
