Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Computer Lab Assistant at Richmondd Global School, located in New Delhi. The Computer Lab Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the computer lab environment, providing technical support to students and staff, ensuring proper operation of computer hardware and software, and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise. Additionally, the assistant will help guide students during lab sessions, monitor their usage of lab equipment, and ensure adherence to school policies.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to efficiently resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Strong Computer Literacy, including familiarity with various computer applications and tools.
  • Education: A diploma, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related technical field (such as BCA or B.Sc. IT).
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems, with the ability to perform installations, updates, and basic maintenance.
  • Excellent Communication skills to effectively assist students and staff with technical inquiries and deliver clear instructions.
  • Experience in an educational environment or similar role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Diploma or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Hardware & Software Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting, install operating systems (Windows/Linux), run antivirus scans, and update software/drivers.
  • Lab Administration: Enforce lab policies, maintain hardware inventory, and track usage logs.

Work Environment

  • Typically found in schools, libraries, and corporate, Coumputer Lab, training centers. The environment is often fast-paced, requiring the assistant to multitask while dealing with high traffic during exam periods or classes
