Role Overview
Require a passionate and innovative Computational Thinking Facilitator to guide learners in Grades 5 and 6 in developing problem-solving, logical reasoning, and creative digital skills. The facilitator will design and deliver engaging lessons that introduce learners to the fundamentals of coding, algorithmic thinking, and digital creativity, while fostering curiosity, collaboration, and independent thinking.
Candidate Should Be Able To
- Plan and conduct engaging Computational Thinking and coding sessions for Grades 5 and 6.
- Introduce learners to coding platforms such as Code.org, Scratch, or similar tools.
- Teach core concepts including sequencing, loops, events, conditionals, debugging, and algorithmic thinking.
- Encourage project-based learning, allowing learners to design games, animations, and digital projects.
- Integrate creative problem-solving and logical thinking into classroom activities.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning abilities.
- Assess learner progress through projects, reflections, and demonstrations of learning.
- Promote student agency, collaboration, and responsible digital citizenship.
- Work collaboratively with other facilitators to connect computational thinking with math, science, and interdisciplinary learning.
- Use digital tools effectively to facilitate online or blended learning environments.
