Computer Engineering — AI Data Trainer
About The Role
We're looking for computer engineering experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI systems. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons about hardware, architecture, and systems.
This is a rare opportunity to apply your expertise in a meaningful, flexible way — working remotely on cutting-edge AI problems at the frontier of computer engineering.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Complex Challenges — Craft advanced computer engineering problems spanning RISC-V/ARM architecture, FPGA development, memory management, and hardware-software co-design to stress-test AI reasoning
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions — including assembly code, HDL snippets, and architectural diagrams — that serve as reference benchmarks for AI training
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code (C/C++, Verilog, VHDL), logic gate designs, and OS kernels for technical accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws such as race conditions, memory leaks, and timing constraint violations, and deliver structured feedback that improves how AI models think through problems
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus), or a closely related discipline
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems
- Able to communicate complex hardware concepts and low-level software logic clearly in writing
- Precise and detail-oriented — comfortable working at the level of bit operations, clock cycles, and timing diagrams
- No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or AI benchmarking
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, or ANSYS
- Familiarity with embedded systems toolchains or HDL simulation environments
Why Join Us
