Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Applications Faculty role based in Arrah. The faculty member will design and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Computer Applications, with a focus on practical, industry-relevant skills. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering interactive lectures, leading lab sessions, and guiding students through projects and case studies. The role involves mentoring students, evaluating assignments and examinations, and providing constructive feedback to support academic and personal growth. The faculty member will also contribute to curriculum review, participate in academic committees, collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives, and engage in continuous professional development to stay current with emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Information Technology, with the ability to teach core computer applications concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Programming (such as C, C++, Java, Python, or related languages) and practical experience in software development or application design.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and best practices, with the ability to integrate security awareness into relevant courses and labs.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, assessments, and case study–based learning activities.
- Minimum of a master's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching or training experience in higher education or professional institutes is preferred, with strong classroom management and facilitation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse group of learners and support inclusive learning practices.
- Comfort with educational technologies, learning management systems, and digital tools for instruction, assessment, and student engagement.
- Commitment to student mentorship, ethical conduct, collaborative work with faculty and administration, and ongoing professional development.
