Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Crash Simulation Analyst to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing virtual crash analyses, ensuring compliance with global safety standards, and supporting vehicle development programs from concept to production.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate finite element models for full vehicle and subsystem crash simulations.
- Perform frontal, side, rear impact, rollover, and pedestrian protection analyses.
- Interpret simulation results and provide design recommendations to improve crashworthiness.
- Collaborate with design, testing, and attribute teams for structural optimization.
- Support physical test correlation and update models based on test feedback.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to NCAP, FMVSS, ECE, AIS crash standards and internal safety requirements.
- Provide design recommendations/tradeoffs to vehicle/chassis/powertrain/body teams; participate in design reviews and crossfunctional forums.
- Develop/deploy CAE methods & standards (templates, macros, best practices); ensure simulation data traceability/version control. [vcollab.com]
- Evaluate new methods (e.g., digital twins, reducedorder models, AIassisted postprocessing) with vendors/partners; pilot for CMB needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory/safety/performance standards; contribute simulation evidence to DFMEA/APQP artefacts.
