High-quality design execution support for an onsite senior engineer at a commercial vehicle assembly plant. This is NOT a drafting role — we need someone who can take a brief or concept sketch, make sound engineering decisions, and deliver complete, review-ready 3D models with minimal supervision.
- Receive scoped work packages and execute to near-release quality
- Produce 3D models, assemblies, weldments, and drawings
- Perform design iterations rapidly based on review feedback
- Conduct basic structural checks and DFM evaluations
- Maintain organized file structure and revision control
- Participate in daily/weekly sync during CST overlap window
JD
- 7+ years manufacturing or industrial design engineering
- Expert 3D CAD (Siemens NX preferred, others can be considered): complex assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, drawings
- Some AutoCAD experience desirable
- Tooling, fixtures, lifting devices, or assembly line equipment experience
- Ability to work from a brief with minimal supervision
- Excellent written/verbal English communication
- Reliable high-speed internet and professional remote setup
- 4+ hours daily overlap with US Central Time (7am–11am CST minimum)
