As a CAD engineer joining the startup during its scale-up phase, you would have a significant influence in defining the structure and processes for the function. You would also get to work closely with the founders who've been part of the leadership teams of companies like Curefit, Ola, Inmobi, Livspace, etc., and work on a variety of problems across the stack.
Role Overview- Designation: CAD Engineer
- Qualifications: Diploma/BE/Btech in Mechanical, CAD/CAM, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related engineering fields.
- Experience: 5+ years for Diploma OR 3+ years for BE/Btech.

Important Note: We strictly use
Solidworks for all our design and engineering workflows. Proficiency in Solidworks is
mandatory for this role; candidates without hands-on Solidworks experience will not be considered.
Role and Responsibilities- Converting 3D CAD design into 2D drawings with proper application of GD&Ts and welding symbols.
- Preparing CAD models as per the concept conveyed by Design Engineers.
- Preparing 2D Drawings for manufacturing, which include getting them reviewed and approved by concerned team members.
- Preparing Inspection Reports through Solidworks Inspection Environment.
- Estimating time for completion of tasks taken up or assigned.
- Aiding in the selection of materials for the components.
- Following the design process as per the company system and maintaining documents accordingly.
- Maintaining drawing revisions based on feedback from the development/manufacturing team.
Must-Have Skills- Expert-level drafting & CAD modeling skills using Solidworks software (Mandatory). You must be able to troubleshoot complex CAD design problems independently.
- Hands-on experience in the application of GD&T complying with ASME 14.5 Y.
- Hands-on experience in the application of welding sizing & symbols as per IS/ISO and/or AWS.
- Experience in using Handbooks like PSG Design Data book and CMTI Handbook for defining tolerances.
- Strong awareness of manufacturing processes like laser cutting, CNC bending, CNC-VMC machining, Metal Casting, Injection molding, MIG-TIG welding, Drilling, Milling, etc.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in office tools like Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Good knowledge of metrology (e.g., using vernier calipers, angle gauge, dial gauge, micrometer, etc.).
Good-to-Have Skills- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Shop floor experience using various manufacturing machineries.
