Job Description

Company Description Metadome.ai builds frontier AI models that convert text, drawings, and CAD into production-ready, interactive 3D experiences. The company advances the entire generative pipeline—from text-to-CAD and 2D-to-3D reconstruction to CAD completion, harmonization, and real-time interactive rendering—designed for the precision demanded by physical products. Its technology currently powers the modernization of OEM aftersales for over 30 automotive and heavy-equipment manufacturers worldwide, enabling accurate 3D parts visualization, repair animations, and integrated digital service platforms. Metadome.ai's solutions help clients dramatically reduce time-to-delivery and wrong-part returns by transforming existing documentation into engineering-grade 3D assets at scale. The broader mission is to let anyone turn an idea, drawing, or specification into a production-grade 3D model and beyond.
Role Description The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Design Engineer will work on creating, refining, and validating engineering-grade 3D models that integrate with Metadome.ai's generative pipeline. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, developing detailed CAD models, collaborating with mechanical and product teams to ensure design accuracy, and preparing designs for interactive rendering and downstream applications. The role involves close coordination with software, AI, and product stakeholders to align designs with technical requirements, manufacturability constraints, and customer use cases in automotive and heavy-equipment contexts. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with a combination of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Engineering Drawings and Design Engineering, with the ability to translate specifications into precise 3D models.
  • Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and workflows used for mechanical and industrial applications.
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, with a solid understanding of materials, tolerances, assemblies, and real-world constraints.
  • Skills in Product Design, including designing for manufacturability, usability, and integration with digital experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with automotive, heavy-equipment, or similar complex mechanical systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
  • Familiarity with 3D rendering, PLM/ERP systems, or AI-driven design tools is a plus.
