Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer (Freshers)

Job Title: CAD Designer, Metal Art & Sculptures

Experience: 0-1 years, freshers

Salary: 15000 Rs. - 18000 Rs.per month plus incentives

Location: Pune (Ravet), Maharashtra

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Modeling: Create detailed and accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of metal art and sculptures using CAD software, based on artistic concepts, client specifications, and sketches.

Collaboration: Work closely with artists, welders, fabricators, and project managers to ensure designs are feasible, structurally stable, and align with the artistic vision.

Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot design challenges related to material properties, fabrication techniques, and structural integrity.

Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive technical drawings, including dimensions, materials lists, and assembly instructions, for the fabrication team.

Material Selection: Assist in selecting appropriate metals (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper) and finishes, considering factors like aesthetics, durability, and cost.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: A degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Fine Arts, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A portfolio showcasing artistic and technical design skills is essential.

Experience: Proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably with a focus on metalwork, fabrication, or sculpture.

Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in one or more 3D CAD software platforms, such as:

SolidWorks

Fusion 360

Rhino 3D

AutoCAD

Blender (for organic modeling)

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including welding (MIG, TIG), plasma cutting, forging, bending, and finishing techniques.

Understanding of structural principles and engineering mechanics to ensure the stability and safety of sculptures.

Ability to translate complex, organic shapes into precise digital models.

Proficiency in creating clean and efficient models for CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) applications.
