Education & Experience
- Full-time B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Thermal / Fluid Engineering / Automobile / IC Engine / Energy Systems / Heat & Power Engineering from a reputed institute
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in CFD analysis, preferably in automotive, engine, fuel system, or thermal-flow applications
CFD & Engineering Skills
- Strong fundamentals of Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, and CFD theory
- Ability to perform analytical calculations using first principles
- Clear understanding of operating environments of components and systems
- Experience defining:
- Analysis scope & approach
- Boundary conditions & acceptance criteria
- Appropriate physics models
Simulation & Analysis
- Hands-on experience in 3D CFD simulations, including:
- Flow analysis
- Thermal analysis
- Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT)
- Geometry cleanup and meshing for complex / dirty CAD
- Setting up:
- Physics models
- Material properties (fluid & solid)
- Boundary conditions, solution methods, and initialization
- Ability to perform sanity checks, troubleshoot convergence/numerical issues, and validate results against acceptance criteria
- Interpretation of CFD results and providing practical design recommendations
Tools (Mandatory)
- STAR-CCM+orANSYS Fluent (mesher + solver)
- ANSYS SpaceClaim / Discovery or equivalent CAD cleanup tools
- Working knowledge of MS Office (reporting & documentation)
Project & Communication
- Experience interacting with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capability to:
- Prepare clear, concise technical reports and documentation
- Manage assigned tasks independently
- Meet project timelines and delivery commitments
Good-to-Have / Added Advantages
Domain Exposure
- Experience in engine, fuel system, or engine sub-system CFD analysis
- Knowledge of mechanical system performance:
- Pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, etc.
- Exposure to:
- Multiphase flow
- Cavitation
- Phase-change simulations
Additional Tools & Programming
- Experience or exposure to:
- Simerics
- GT-SUITE
- OpenFOAM
- Basic knowledge of C++ / Python for automation or post-processing
- Basic working knowledge of Creo
Professional & Leadership Skills
- Ability to prepare SOPs and standardized workflows
- Experience in guiding or mentoring junior engineers
- Strong ownership mindset and self-driven learning attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively with multi-level and multi-disciplinary teams
