Mattespace is an architectural visualization studio creating high-quality walkthrough films and marketing content for real estate developers. We are hiring a Junior Composition Artist with around one year of experience who is highly enthusiastic, disciplined, and serious about improving cinematic editing skills.

We are not looking for a preset-based editor. We are looking for someone who wants to build real composition skills and grow inside the studio.

Role Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Composing final architectural walkthrough films from rendered image sequences and animation outputs

Structuring video timelines with proper pacing and flow

Syncing video edits precisely with music beats, drops, build-ups, and transitions

Selecting and integrating background music that enhances the mood of the project

Performing basic to intermediate color correction and shot matching

Learning and applying cinematic color grading principles

Adding VFX elements such as light effects, atmosphere, glow, depth enhancement, and subtle motion graphics

Compositing multi-pass render outputs (Z-depth, lighting passes, etc.)

Improving realism and visual depth through compositing techniques

Refining transitions and ensuring smooth scene continuity

Delivering polished, client-ready final videos

Collaborating closely with 3D artists and creative leads to maintain quality standards

Continuously upgrading skills in editing, color, and compositing

Required Skills

Editing & Music Sense

Basic understanding of rhythm, beats, and timing

Ability to cut footage naturally according to music

Strong sense of pacing and shot duration

Color & Visual Sense

Basic knowledge of color correction

Ability to match shots and maintain visual consistency

Interest in learning professional color grading

VFX & Compositing Basics

Understanding of layers, masks, blending modes

Basic knowledge of compositing workflows

Familiarity with render passes is a plus
