Our headquarters in Chennai spans over 20,000 sq. ft. across two secure facilities, with a new 6,000

sq. ft. space opening soon in Hyderabad. Our services include Sound, Color Grading, and Visual

Effects, offering clients an end-to-end creative pipeline.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Compositing Supervisor to lead our compositing department.

This role demands strong artistic and technical capabilities, exceptional leadership, and a solid

understanding of visual storytelling and the VFX pipeline. The ideal candidate will drive the

compositing team toward delivering photorealistic, high-quality shots while collaborating closely

with internal departments and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all compositing activities from look development to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor, CG Supervisor, and other leads to meet creative and technical

goals.

  • Lead and mentor a team of compositors, providing clear feedback and nurturing growth.
  • Review, critique, and approve shots to ensure consistency, quality, and visual storytelling

standards.

  • Troubleshoot complex creative and technical challenges using Nuke and related tools.
  • Ensure proper adherence to naming conventions, color pipelines, and project standards.
  • Work with production to estimate shot bids and manage schedules and budgets.
  • Attend client reviews, interpret feedback, and ensure timely delivery of notes.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of the compositing team.

Skills & Attributes

  • Expert-level knowledge of Nuke; familiarity with After Effects and Blackmagic Fusion is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of 3D passes, AOVs, deep compositing, and stereo workflows.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain compositing quality across a large team and multiple sequences.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail in lighting, color, and integration.
  • Familiarity with Python scripting in Nuke is a plus.
  • Experience using production tracking tools like ShotGrid, Kitsu, etc.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in VFX, Animation, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in compositing within the VFX industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising compositing teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing photorealistic compositing and leadership capabilities.
