Job Description

Design and development of eAxle sealing interfaces, including:O-rings(static and dynamic applications)Radial shaft seals(dynamic applications)Wet sealing conceptsSolid (form-in-place/ elastomeric) sealing solutions

Strong understanding ofsealing fundamentals, including:Initial compression and stretchGroove fill and squeezePressure-supportedsealing behaviorStatic vs. dynamic sealing requirementsMedia, temperature, and lifetime influencesSimulation requirementsValidationandReliabilityrequirementsCorrosion behaviorAbility todevelop sealing conceptsand performdesign calculationsin line with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 3601, DIN, OEM internal standards).

Solid knowledge and practical application ofGD&T, includingtolerance analysis andstack-upfocused on sealing interfaces.Capability tointerpret manufacturing andinterfacedrawingsand derivedetailed sealing groove andcounter-surfacedesigns.

Experience inmaterialselectionand validationfor elastomers andsealing-relevantmaterials (e.g., EPDM, HNBR, FKM, ACM), considering media compatibility, aging, and environmental conditions.

Understanding ofmanufacturing processes and constraintsrelated to sealing interfaces, such as:Machining and surface finish requirementsInjection moldingandStampingand formingHousing and shaft tolerancesEffectivecommunication and presentation skills, able to present sealing concepts, risks, countermeasures, and validation results across engineering and management levels.

Good understanding ofproduct development phases, validation loops, andQuality Gates (QGs).Proficient inSiemens UG NXfor sealing and interface design.Working knowledge ofSAPfor handling part releases, BOMs, and change management.

Job DescriptionResponsible foreAxle/ Xin1& sealingcomponents and assemblies from a constructive point of view (design)ensure functionally, ready for production, meet assembly, within budget construction based on standard technology of the construction kit

Accountable for the realization of the mech. design of the respectivesealingcomponents ofeAxlew.r.t interfaces, compliant with the design kitLead release of the work products (state -materials, norms, productioninstructionsand drawings) incl. release of deviations from design kit by relevant groups and committees (Cross functional team, core team)Main contact person and interface to suppliers at a technical level including design topics internal / external for the respective component/assembly

Responsible person to ensure the correct system integration of thesealingcomponentEvaluation ofcomponentchanges (impact on functionality, assembly, quality, manufacturability, costs, timing)DRBFM and FMEA of assembly and productResponsibility for holding or improvingcomponentcosts (PPC)Prepare documentation and decision for change process (CCB/ECM)

Qualifications

BE / BTech in Mechanical or Automobile
