We are seeking a Regulated Products & Illegal Online Pharmacy Compliance Analyst with hands-on experience reviewing illegal drug content, online pharmacies, controlled substances, and medical product compliance.
The analyst will review URLs, websites, ads, and merchant content to identify:
- Illegal drug sales
- Unlicensed pharmacies
- Schedule H/H1/X drug violations
- Prescription bypassing
- Controlled substances and abused OTC drugs
- Compliance risks for payment processors
This role is critical for GBIT's Merchant Risk & Compliance Testing program, including projects with international financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
1 URL & Website Compliance Review
- Analyze websites for illegal pharma activity
- Detect Schedule H/H1/X drug listings without prescriptions
- Identify red flags of rogue pharmacies
- Review merchant checkout flows and transaction patterns
- Flag misuse of medical claims, FDA/CDSCO non-compliance
2 Merchant Risk Classification
- Assign correct MCC codes (e.g., 5912, 5122)
- Classify regulated, high-risk, and prohibited merchants
- Evaluate KYB/KYC documentation for pharmacy businesses
3 Regulatory & Safety Enforcement
- Compare site content against CDSCO, FDA, NDPS guidelines
- Identify controlled substances (opioids, steroids, codeine, tramadol, etc.)
- Evaluate compliance with prescription requirements
- Prepare evidence-based risk reports
4 Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare structured compliance summaries
- Maintain audit logs and case evidence
- Collaborate with team leads to refine risk standards
