Position: Compliance Officer
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to manage, advise, and oversee compliance activities across the organization. The role focuses on safeguarding compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while identifying and mitigating compliance risks within the assigned area of responsibility.
Location - Pune
Experience - 7-13 years
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advise on compliance activities within the assigned business area
- Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and internal compliance requirements
- Identify compliance risks and partner with business stakeholders to mitigate them
- Oversee or implement compliance programs and policies
- Support deployment of compliance tools, templates, processes, and training initiatives
- Drive awareness and sharing of compliance best practices across teams
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, governance standards, and applicable legislation
- Support integration and compliance alignment for acquired businesses
- Contribute to building and strengthening compliance frameworks from the ground up
- Work closely with teams on internal controls, governance, and legal compliance implementation
Required Qualifications
Education
- Masters degree in Law, OR
- MBA (Finance/Risk/Compliance specialization) along with LLB
Experience
- Experience in Global Legal, Compliance, Risk, or Governance functions
- Exposure to multinational organizations and cross-border compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting global legal/compliance activities within software or manufacturing industries
- Strong understanding of internal controls, governance, and compliance implementation
- Ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders and business teams

- Hands-on experience in legal compliance implementation
- Strong financial and governance understanding
- Experience establishing compliance functions or processes from scratch
