Job Description

Hiring for Technosport | Compliance Manager

Location: Perundurai, Tamil Nadu

Experience: 4 - 8 years

Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to independently manage statutory compliance, government apprenticeship and skill development schemes, social compliance, labour law compliance, and EHS requirements across the organization. The role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all applicable legal, regulatory, and customer compliance requirements while driving audit readiness and effective stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in managing government schemes such as NATS, NAPS, Samarth, PMVBRY and other employment and skill development initiatives, along with labour law compliance and factory-related statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Government Schemes & Apprenticeship Compliance
  • Independently manage and drive all government-sponsored apprenticeship, skill development, and employment schemes including:
  • NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme)
  • NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme)
  • Samarth Scheme
  • PMVBRY
  • Coordinate registrations, candidate enrollments, contracts, documentation, stipend processing, reimbursements, and compliance reporting.
  • Liaise with government departments, sector skill councils, training partners, educational institutions, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely submission of scheme-related reports, claims, documentation, and audit requirements.
  • Monitor scheme utilization, compliance status, and funding opportunities to maximize organizational benefits.

Statutory & Labour Compliance
  • Independently manage all labour law and statutory compliance requirements across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Central and State labour laws including Factory Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages Act, Shops & Establishment Act, Payment of Wages Act, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, and other relevant legislations.
  • Handle PF, ESIC, Labour Welfare Fund, and other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with government authorities, labour department officials, factory inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage inspections, notices, compliance documentation, and closure of observations.
  • Maintain statutory registers, records, licenses, returns, and certifications.

Social Compliance & Customer Audits
  • Lead social compliance initiatives including Sedex, customer-specific compliance requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Coordinate and manage customer audits, third-party audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action plans and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Maintain all compliance-related records and supporting documentation.

EHS & Environmental Compliance
  • Manage Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance requirements across facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, waste management standards, and statutory permits.
  • Conduct safety reviews, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
  • Coordinate safety training programs, emergency preparedness activities, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Audit & Risk Management
  • Lead Factory Inspector audits, labour audits, statutory audits, social compliance audits, customer audits, and EHS audits.
  • Ensure continuous audit readiness through effective documentation and compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain compliance trackers, risk registers, and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor compliance risks and proactively recommend mitigation measures.

Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare monthly compliance dashboards, management reports, and compliance scorecards.
  • Track statutory filings, audit observations, scheme utilization, and compliance status.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding compliance risks, regulatory changes, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support internal and external audits.

Desired Candidate Profile
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Human Resources, Labour Law, Industrial Relations, Compliance, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience in managing NATS, NAPS, Samarth, DDU-GKY, PM Vishwakarma, and other government employment and skill development schemes.
  • Sound knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, PF, ESIC, apprenticeship regulations, and factory compliance requirements.
  • Experience in handling government authority interactions, inspections, and audit management.
  • Working knowledge of social compliance standards such as Sedex and customer compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with EHS and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Manufacturing, textile, garment, or industrial sector experience will be preferred.

Experience
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in statutory compliance, government schemes, labour compliance, apprenticeship management, social compliance, EHS, and audit management.

Key Requirement

This is a specialized Compliance Management role requiring strong expertise in government schemes, apprenticeship programs, statutory compliance, labour laws, audit management, and EHS. The candidate should be capable of independently managing compliance operations, coordinating with government authorities, and ensuring full regulatory compliance across the organization.
