Cana Consulting is partnering a high-growth real estate investment platform focused on logistics and industrial assets across Asia. They are looking to hire an experienced Compliance professional to support the business across regulatory, governance and risk management matters.
This role will work closely with the investment, asset management and corporate functions to ensure the business maintains a robust compliance framework while supporting the continued growth of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the firm's compliance framework and policies.
- Advise the business on applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with internal policies and external regulatory obligations.
- Manage regulatory filings, reporting obligations and interactions with regulators where required.
- Provide guidance on AML/CFT, sanctions, anti-bribery & corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts & entertainment and other compliance matters.
- Conduct compliance monitoring, internal reviews and investigations where necessary.
- Design and deliver compliance training across the organisation.
- Support the development and enhancement of the firm's corporate governance framework.
- Assist with Board and committee governance matters.
- Maintain compliance registers, policy frameworks and governance documentation.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across governance and compliance processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
- Approximately 5-10 years experience in Compliance, Risk, Legal & Compliance or Regulatory roles.
- Experience gained within an investment manager, private equity, real estate, fund management, financial institution or regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with MAS regulations and compliance frameworks is preferred.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT, sanctions, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Experience drafting and implementing internal policies and governance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to work independently in a lean and dynamic environment.
- Comfortable working in a lean, high-growth set-up.
