Job Summary
The Compliance Engineer II is a developing technical professional responsible for configuring and implementing compliance software solutions to meet client and business requirements. The role independently executes defined implementation tasks across configuration, reporting, and integrations, applying foundational technical and financial domain knowledge. The position contributes to successful client delivery by translating structured requirements into system solutions, resolving routine to moderately complex issues, and supporting implementation outcomes within established project scopes.
Responsibilities
Solution Implementation
- Configure software solutions to meet defined client business and compliance requirements with guidance from senior engineers.
- Execute assigned implementation tasks across configuration, reporting, and data setup with accuracy and timeliness.
- Translate structured business requirements into system configurations and technical outputs.
Problem Solving & Technical Execution
- Resolve routine and moderately complex configuration and data issues using established approaches.
- Develop custom reports using SQL and related tools to support compliance monitoring and client needs.
- Support integrations with third-party systems using XML/XSLT and related technologies under direction.
Collaboration & Client Support
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, QA, Business Analysts) to deliver implementation milestones.
- Support client interactions by gathering requirements, clarifying issues, and communicating progress.
- Build foundational product and domain knowledge through training and applied project experience.
Requirements
- Ability to execute defined technical tasks independently with limited oversight
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability within structured environments
- Foundational understanding of portfolio compliance/ investor guidelines/ CLO indentures concepts
Technical & Systems Proficiency
- SQL / T-SQL (working proficiency)
- Excel (advanced formulas including lookup and array functions)
- XML/XPath, XSLT (working knowledge)
- Jira / Agile tools (working knowledge)
Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- 2-4 years of relevant experience (software implementation, compliance systems, or similar)
- Exposure to financial services or compliance domains preferred
Language Skills
- Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) sufficient to support client communication and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to internal teams and clients (with guidance)
Education/Certifications
- University degree in related discipline
