Job Description
Reporting to the Global Head of Compliance, you will be reponsible for:
- With the broader legal department, working with our Global team
- Investments consistently identifies, understands and manages compliance in accordance with our enterprise risk appetite
- Develop, implement, and lead compliance initiatives in India, including measures to drive compliance with the Code of Conduct and other conduct policies across a range of operational and investment activities
- Partner with the Legal team on investment compliance in region, including transaction and asset management issues
- Identify, monitor and respond to emerging regulatory issues and provide compliance advice and coordination in connection with the day-to-day operations in India
- Conduct outreach regarding compliance matters with regional stakeholders, including leadership, and serve as a key point of contact between them and the global Compliance team
- Structure, plan, and conduct ad-hoc and regular risk assessments, with a focus on compliance related risks
- Leverage regional understanding and subject matter expertise to increase impact of the global
- Compliance program and promote an ethical culture and tone, including ethics and
- compliance training and communication initiatives to educate and engage employees
- Support our framework for risk-based monitoring of compliance policies and controls,
- including through the enterprise-wide Compliance Management System (CMS)
- Assist with reporting on compliance and other regulatory matters
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you are a lawyer with 8+ years of experience in Ethics, Integrity, White Collar. Candidates from law firms will be given preferences. Open to candidates from large consulting firms with similar experience .
