Job Title

Senior Vice President I - Compliance Testing - Circulars and Tranche III

Objective

To provide strategic leadership in implementing compliance testing framework across all banking products and processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The role aims to proactively identify compliance risks, drive compliance testing and deliver timely, accurate reporting to senior management thereby safeguarding the organization's regulatory standing.

Responsibilities

.Provide assistance in developing annual compliance testing plan aligned with regulatory expectations.

.Refresh testing universe quarterly based on new regulatory circulars and emerging risks

.Oversee end-to-end compliance testing across all banking products (Retail, Corporate, Treasury, Trade Finance, Credit, Digital Banking, etc.

.Collaborate with business units and CARO's to discuss compliance testing observations and track for remedial action.

.Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure timely escalation of findings

.Own the Tranche III testing plan and governance, aligning scope and timelines with RBI expectations.

.Prepare quarterly updates to the Audit Committee of the Board (ACB) on testing outcomes.

.Act as a subject matter expert for compliance testing across banking operations

.Lead and mentor a team of compliance testing professionals, ensuring optimal resource allocation and capability building.

.Drive enhancements in testing processes through automation, analytics, and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Banking, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15+ years in banking compliance, risk management, or audit, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of RBI, SEBI and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale compliance testing programs.

  • Strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and ability to drive large-scale compliance initiatives.
