Job Description

Location: Gurugram

About The Role

The Compliance Associate will be responsible for ensuring product compliance with regulatory

requirements (Legal Metrology, FSSAI, Drugs & Cosmetics), overseeing labeling accuracy, and

conducting compliance checks across warehouses and stores. The role also involves supporting

banking operations, managing documentation, and assisting in insurance and claims processes while

coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities/What You Will Do

Product Compliance & Legal Metrology

  • Ensure product labels comply with Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules and other

applicable regulations.

  • Review packaging artwork and verify mandatory declarations such as MRP,

manufacturer/importer details, quantity declarations and customer care details.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including Legal Metrology, FSSAI and Drugs &

Cosmetics.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (product, sourcing, packaging, warehouse and design

teams) to obtain and validate labeling information.

  • Conduct regular compliance checks and quality supervision of products at warehouse and retail

stores.

  • Identify compliance gaps and implement process improvements and SOPs to mitigate regulatory

risks.

  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation.

Banking Operations

  • Handle day-to-day banking coordination and maintain relationships with banks.
  • Manage banking documentation including KYC updates, account related documentation and

regulatory submissions.

  • Coordinate with banks for operational matters including payments, account changes and

documentation requirements.

Insurance & Claims Management

  • Assist in managing company insurance policies including fire, property, marine and other

operational policies.

  • Coordinate with insurance brokers, insurers and surveyors during claim events.
  • Prepare claim documentation including incident reports, invoices, photographs and supporting

evidence.

  • Track claims and follow up with insurers to ensure timely settlement.
  • Maintain insurance records and support policy renewals.

Qualifications & Skills/What You Need

  • Education: Graduate/Postgraduate (LLB or CS Mandatory)
  • Experience: 25 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of Legal Metrology and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  • Open to travel for store and warehouse inspections
