Who we are

Born in 2014, Yoti is a digital identity and biometric technology company that makes it safer for people to prove who they are. The Yoti app was designed with privacy at its core, giving people a secure way to prove their identity and share third-party credentials with organisations and other people.

Today, we have over twenty million app downloads around the world. We've expanded our offering to a suite of business solutions that span identity verification, age verification and estimation, e-signing, AI anti-spoofing technologies and we continue to think of innovative new offerings.

More about this Team and Project

This position will report to Yoti's Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance. The main purpose of the role is to meet the needs and expectations of our customers, government and industry regulators. Yoti needs to comply with numerous sector-specific, national and international standards, including those for cyber security, data privacy, and quality management. 

As a member of Yoti's compliance team you will support the business by: 

• Horizon scanning to identify new and applicable industry standards and frameworks.
• Deep-dive requirements analysis on relevant standards and their application to Yoti products and processes.
• Assess and map current processes against compliance requirements, identify gaps, develop compliant solutions. 
• Participate in internal audits.
• Prepare staff for and participate in external audits, presenting Yoti's compliance position.
• Administer the Controlled Documents Process to ensure company policies receive periodic review and sign-off.
• Support Business Development by responding to client due diligence requests, RFI's (Requests for Information), and RFP's (Requests for Proposals).
  
  

Your experience

• This is an interdisciplinary role, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams. Successful candidates are likely to have 2+ years of experience in a technology, professional services, or audit firm, though other experience routes are considered.Familiarity with software engineering, information/cyber security, data protection/privacy, and AI (artificial intelligence) is an advantage. Previous experience with compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC2 is useful but not essential.
• More important is an aptitude for researching unfamiliar technical topics and thorough attention to detail.
• Good communications skills, including the ability to:
• • Interview colleagues and subject matter experts, often on technical topics.
  • Engage with external auditors and regulators, and present Yoti's compliance position professionally.
  • Demonstrate clear written English and strong editing skills for logical information presentation.
    
    
• Good organisational skills to manage work in an agile software business and cope with challenging deadlines and changing priorities.
• Proficiency with standard word processing packages, spreadsheets, or equivalent office tools.
  
  

Interview Process

• Stage 1 : Recruiter call with a Talent acquisition team member (30 minutes) 
• Stage 2 : Pre Screening Assessment
• Stage 3 : Call with Head of GRC (60 minutes)
• Stage 4 : Final call with Head of GRC, General Counsel & Head of Privacy (90 minutes)
