The Compliance and Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring that the hospital adheres to all statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements while managing accurate and timely payroll processing. This role plays a critical part in maintaining legal compliance, employee satisfaction, and financial integrity within the hospital.
1. Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, labor laws, and statutory requirements (e.g., PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity, CLRA if applicable).
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies and government regulations.
- Coordinate with legal and regulatory authorities for audits and inspections.
- Maintain statutory records, registers, and documentation.
- Stay updated with changes in labor laws and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Handle compliance reporting and filings within deadlines.
2. Payroll Management
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all hospital employees (doctors, nurses, administrative staff, contract workers).
- Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
- Process statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS) and ensure timely remittances.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Handle payroll queries, discrepancies, and employee concerns.
- Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement and reconciliation.
- Generate payroll reports, MIS, and analytics.
3. Audit & Reporting
- Prepare reports for internal and external audits.
- Ensure documentation readiness for statutory and financial audits.
- Liaise with auditors and government authorities.
4. Policy & Process Management
- Develop and update payroll and compliance policies.
- Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Implement payroll systems and automation tools if required.
5. Team Coordination
- Supervise payroll and compliance staff (if applicable).
- Train HR and administrative teams on compliance requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Master's degree / MBA (HR) preferred

Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in payroll and compliance
- Experience in hospital or healthcare industry is mandatory
