We champion and communicate our compensation philosophy and practices, deliver external market insights, set internal pay ranges, and partner with lines of business and functions across the firm to execute the annual compensation program.

Job Summary:


As a part of Compensation at Executive Director, you will advance the compensation strategy for India GCC. This individual will be responsible for implementing compensation approaches to attract, reward and retain the talent necessary to meet JPMC goals in a rapidly changing environment. This role will work on critical initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and significant strategic, regulatory and financial impact and will represent India GCC on firm-wide project teams.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Support of LOB/Functions teams to manage a strategy for the annual planning processes for India GCC
  • Country-related compensation responses
  • Project oversight of key deliverables, e.g., fixed allowance changes
  • Ensure compliance with control functions and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with country and global HR teams on all compensation matters,
  • Coordinate India support for global projects
  • Provide compensation consultation and thought leadership to business leaders in close partnership with HR Business Advisors and Recruiting
  • Perform analyses and present findings to partners and/or senior management
  • Assess market conditions and pay practices to ensure competitiveness of compensation plans and programs

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 15+ years of HR or compensation experience with strong people management, strategic thinking, influencing skills, and analytical capabilities
  • Proven consulting skills ability to drive business goals through HR / Compensation strategies and to address issues / devise solutions with creativity and innovation
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with internal and external clients and colleagues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with particular strength in teamwork and influencing across groups
  • Client-focused, proactive and results-driven, with success operating in matrixed, geographically dispersed, complex organizations
  • Strong project management skills, including the capacity to perform under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Highly motivated and energetic, recognized as a trusted advisor on compensation-related matters
  • Exceptional technical proficiency, including advanced Excel and Pitch-Pro/PowerPoint Business Objects and Web intelligence skills
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Comfortable in fast-changing environments, translating new requirements into clear next steps and measurable, lasting results
