About The Opportunity

You'll be the person every new Dodo merchant remembers. From the moment a founder signs up, you'll own their journey - getting them live, excited, and bragging about Dodo to their friends.

You'll combine white-glove onboarding with sharp community instincts, making sure our Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, and X never feel like just another channel, but like home for builders

You'll also help turn Dodo into the default Merchant of Record for the next wave of AI and SaaS companies by building tight relationships with VCs, accelerators, and founder communities. This is a high-trust, high-ownership, on-site role in Bengaluru, working directly with the founding team.

Role & Responsibilities

What You'll Own

  • End-to-end merchant onboarding: From sign-up to successful first transaction- Community heartbeat: Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, and X stay active, helpful, and on-brand.
  • Dodo's public voice: Day-to-day social presence and merchant storytelling. Ecosystem partnerships: VCs, accelerators, and founder communities that bring us the next 1,000 builders.
  • Playbooks & systems: Onboarding SOPs, checklists, and flows that scale beyond you. Activation & time-to-value: You'll obsess over getting merchants to it just works as fast as possible.
  • If a merchant stalls during onboarding, a community thread dies, or a partner opportunity goes cold - you don't wait for someone else. You own fixing it.

What You'll Do

  • Be the first human face of Dodo for new merchants - walk them through KYC, setup, and their first live payment.
  • Design and refine a repeatable onboarding playbook so 10x more merchants can get live without chaos.
  • Run rituals that keep communities alive: AMAs, office hours, builder spotlights, merchant win shoutouts.
  • Moderate Discord and Reddit - escalate bugs, product gaps, and sharp feedback to Product and Engineering.
  • Own the day-to-day social feed on LinkedIn, X, and Reddit; work with Marketing on key launches and narratives.
  • Build and nurture relationships with VCs, accelerators, and founder communities to get Dodo into resource lists and internal stacks.
  • Co-host events, AMAs, and workshops with partner communities and ecosystem players.

Help hire, onboard, and mentor the next people who join this function.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years in customer onboarding, community, DevRel, customer success, or founder-facing roles.
  • Strong, crisp written communication - you can write Discord replies, onboarding emails, and LinkedIn posts that people actually read.
  • You're comfortable talking to founders, CTOs, operators, and indie hackers without getting intimidated.
  • A process-builder mindset - you don't just do the work, you turn it into a system and document it.
  • Bonus: Existing relationships in VC, accelerator, or founder communities.
  • Bonus: Exposure to global payments, Merchant of Record models, or developer-first products.
