About the role
The Community Manager owns the full community charter for their campus. This is a leadership role responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving the student experience - from orientation through graduation. The CM leads the campus team and collaborates closely with other campus leads.
Responsibilities:
Student Body & Community
- Own and govern the student body, maintaining an active and engaged campus community
- Manage and mentor student leads across clubs and community workstreams
- Lead new student orientation, managing the full experience for incoming batches
- Drive student achievement recognition through management and policy-level execution of the Student Grant
- Track, collect, and publish student wins — sole campus owner of this record
- University stakeholder management is vital
Clubs & Ecosystem
- Build and manage the student clubs ecosystem with the Student Body
- Support student leads in running clubs with consistency and quality
Events & Programmes
- Plan and execute masterclasses and guest lectures with a practical, industry-relevant approach
- Lead techfest planning and delivery in collaboration with the student body
- Oversee cultural events, student-led activities, and campus celebrations
- Manage Student Houses and house competitions — tech and cultural
- Run peer learning sessions, workshops, hackathons, and curiosity-building activities
- Enable student participation in external college fest competitions
Exposure & Competitions
- Identify international and domestic competitions, conferences, and forums relevant to NST students
- Build a pipeline, ensuring students actively apply and represent NST to prestigious competitions
- Continuously discover and create new exposure opportunities for students beyond defined academics
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with university administration, faculty, and leadership — acting as the primary point of contact for all community and student experience matters on campus
- Navigate institutional processes, approvals, and campus-specific requirements to ensure smooth programme delivery
- Coordinate closely with Campus Community Managers across all NST campuses to align on shared initiatives, share learnings, and maintain consistency in student experience standards
- Work in active collaboration with the Central HQ team on centrally-driven programmes, immersions, industry initiatives, and cross-campus projects — ensuring the campus contributes to and benefits from the broader NST community ecosystem
