About the Role
#PlantWithPride is India's community-driven tree plantation movement launching nationally on 5 June 2026 — World Environment Day. As we scale Season 2 across India, we are looking for a Community Manager Intern who will be the human voice of this campaign online and on the ground.
This is not a desk job. You will be managing real conversations, building real relationships, and helping real people become part of a real movement.
What You Will Do
Community Management Manage the #PlantWithPride social media presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Respond to every comment, DM, and query — promptly and in the campaign's voice. Build and manage city-level WhatsApp groups for campus ambassadors, city leads, and volunteers across India.
Outreach and Onboarding Reach out to universities, colleges, NSS chapters, and community organisations to onboard them as Campus Partners. Follow up on leads from the campaign team. Maintain an organised tracker of all partner conversations, MOU status, and onboarding progress.
Content Coordination Work with the creative team to plan and schedule daily social media content. Collect user-generated content — participant photos, planting stories, campus event coverage — and coordinate their publication. Document the campaign through reels, posts, and stories in real time.
Volunteer Coordination Support the onboarding and management of city-level volunteers and campus ambassadors across India. Organise orientation sessions, share campaign resources, and ensure every volunteer has what they need to execute on the ground.
Reporting Track community growth, engagement metrics, and participation numbers weekly. Compile data on trees planted, cities active, organisations onboarded, and social reach — and share a weekly update with the campaign team.
Who We Are Looking For
A college student or recent graduate who genuinely cares about environment and community — and can talk to people naturally, online and offline.
You should have strong written communication skills in both Hindi and English. You should be comfortable using Instagram, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp for professional purposes. You should be organised enough to manage multiple conversations and follow-ups simultaneously without things falling through the cracks.
Prior experience in social media management, community building, NSS coordination, or event management is a plus — but not mandatory. We are looking for attitude and energy over a polished resume.
What You Will Learn
How a national digital campaign is built and managed from the inside. Influencer and creator coordination. Grassroots community building across cities. Real-time content management during a live campaign. How NGOs and foundations operate, manage partnerships, and report impact.
This internship will give you direct exposure to every department of the campaign — creative, digital, outreach, operations, and communications.
