Overview
We are seeking a proactive and highly articulate Communications Specialist Business Development & Grant Outreach to lead funding outreach, grant applications, and global distributor prospecting for our clean beauty brand. This role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to craft compelling, concise emails and presentations that drive results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Funding & Grant Outreach
- Research and identify relevant grants, funding programs, and investment opportunities.
- Prepare and submit grant applications and funding proposals.
- Draft persuasive outreach emails to investors, grant bodies, and funding organizations.
- Maintain a pipeline tracker for applications and follow-ups.
2. Business Development
- Identify and qualify potential distributors and strategic partners in international markets (via LinkedIn and other platforms).
- Conduct targeted outreach campaigns to initiate partnerships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors and B2B partners.
- Support negotiation and onboarding processes.
3. Email & Communication Management
- Write crisp, high-impact emails tailored to investors, grant committees, and distributors.
- Develop pitch decks and presentations for funding and business development meetings.
- Represent the brand professionally in written and verbal communications.
4. Research & Market Expansion
- Analyze target markets for clean beauty distribution opportunities.
- Create country-wise distributor databases and outreach strategies.
- Track and report KPIs for outreach campaigns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, grant writing, or funding outreach.
- Exceptional written and spoken English.
- Strong email writing skills (clear, concise, persuasive).
- Experience identifying and connecting with distributors via LinkedIn.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline.
- Self-driven and results-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the beauty, skincare, wellness or a non-profit ndustry.
- Knowledge of AI tools for outreach optimization.
- Proficiency in presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva).
- Familiarity with CRM systems and outreach automation tools.
