The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) School of Information Studies (SOIS) invites applications for a Communications & Events Specialist (Communications Specialist) vacancy. This is a fixed, renewable full-time academic staff appointment.
Under the general direction of the School of Information Studies (SOIS) Creative Manager and Assistant Dean the incumbent will provide support to the marketing of the School, the degree programs and events. This may include developing digital content, communications and announcements, survey management, and program/event support. Candidates must have one or more years of proven experience in the field(s) of communications and/or marketing executing communications to diverse audiences and an Associate's degree. Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor's degree, experience in successful event planning, working with website content management systems, digital communications and social media.
