Qualifications
BA Degree (Communications, Marketing, Education or related field preferred)
Prior successful job-related experience in communications, marketing or journalism
Portfolio: Recent samples to demonstrate job experience and ability to perform job requirements (newsletters, written articles, graphic designs, etc.)

Job Goal
Supports the communication and marketing efforts of the district.
Performance Responsibilities
- Demonstrates excellent Associated Press writing skills for creating news releases, newsletters, student and staff features, website headlines and other educational articles.
- Serves as community liaison with neighborhood associations and other key organizations throughout the TPSD zoned areas.
- Creates new community campaigns, seminars and work sessions to bridge the gap between the community and school district.
- Works with the THS/TMS journalism teams to create personalized content for district-related events.
- Assists creative and marketing team with new football/soccer/track video board.
- From a marketing standpoint, initiates new revenue opportunities for the district.
- Assists with the planning, production and distribution of district publications, internal and external.
- Devises partnerships with local businesses for school- or sport-related opportunities.
- Assists in the creation and development of high-quality videos for recruitment, educational and promotional purposes.
- Works with media (billboard, print, radio, and television) to provide information and to promote a good relationship between the schools and the media, and to promote a positive image for the district.
- Serves as camp coordinator for the summer and creates new camps during the school year.
- Creates marketing and research campaigns for each of the 12 schools, as well as the district.
- Coordinates district-level web page updates and uploads data to district web page.
- Serves as coordinator of each of the 13 individual school websites.
- Represents the district as person of contact for the website (FinalSite) and surveys (Verint).
- Oversees the compliance of the website with Monsido.
- Orders promotion-related material, including promotional items, brochures, flyers and all print related material.
- Helps create yearly budget with a fiscal responsibility.
- Create promotional graphics using Adobe Spark.
- Assists with mailings and other distribution of district-level publications.
- Assists with the creation of InDesign, Adobe and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations for various projects.
- Oversees recognition programs of retirees and years of service.
