Duration of Internship- 2 Months OR can be extended based on performance & organisational requirements.

Compensation- 10k Per Month

Position Summary:

Humanitarian Aid International is seeking a Communications & outreach Intern to support our

communications & outreach efforts. The intern will work closely with the Communications

Manager to assist in a variety of tasks, including content creation, website management, and social

media strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, creative, and motivated individual to

gain hands-on experience in communications within the humanitarian sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in creating and scheduling content across HAI's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  2. Develop engaging written, graphic, and basic video content highlighting HAI's programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
  3. Support website management, including content updates, blog posts, and basic maintenance.
  4. Assist in planning and implementing social media and digital campaigns, including engagement tracking.
  5. Monitor social media performance and support basic analytics and reporting on trends and engagement.
  6. Support internal communications, including preparation of internal newsletters and updates.
  7. Provide general administrative and logistical support for communication-related activities and events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree (completed or pursuing) in English Honours, Journalism, History Honours, International Relations, Law, Computer Applications, or a related field.

Language: Strong written and spoken English proficiency.

Digital Skills: Working knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite) and Microsoft Office.

Design Tools: Familiarity with Canva required; Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools is desirable.

Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in content and communications.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate across teams in a dynamic NGO environment.

Learning Orientation: Strong interest in the humanitarian sector and willingness to learn digital communications skills.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Experience or interest in graphic design, video editing, or basic filming.
  2. Prior content writing experience for blogs, social media, or websites.
  3. Fluency in Hindi or other Indian languages.
  4. Willingness to travel locally within Delhi for field-based communication activities.
  5. Interest in learning digital campaigns.
