Role Summary
The Communications Lead owns Corporate Technology's
internal communication strategy, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful messaging across all channels and touchpoints. This role sets the narrative, messaging architecture, and channel governance for the organization, partnering closely with senior leaders and the Chief of Staff to drive alignment, transparency, and engagement.
Operating at a strategic level, the Communications Lead provides editorial oversight and direction, while collaborating with the Communications Specialist to translate strategy into highquality, daytoday execution.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Strategy & Narrative
- Develop, own, and continuously evolve the endtoend internal communication strategy aligned to organizational priorities and culture.
- Define and maintain the messaging framework, brand voice, and core narrative themes across the year.
- Ensure consistency and clarity of messaging across leadership communications, organizational updates, and engagement initiatives.
Editorial & Content Oversight
- Provide editorial leadership and quality assurance for all internal communications, including newsletters, leadership messages, announcements, and major campaigns.
- Set content standards, tone, and storytelling guidelines to ensure executiveready communications.
- Review and guide highvisibility communications and sensitive messaging.
Channel Governance & Optimization
- Own governance of communication channels (Slack, email, portals, intranet), including purpose, audience, cadence, and usage guidelines.
- Partner with the Comms Specialist to ensure the right messages reach the right audiences through the right channels.
- Drive simplification and integration across channels to reduce noise and improve effectiveness.
Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner closely with senior leaders, the Chief of Staff, and crossfunctional teams to shape and align messaging.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leaders on communication approach, sequencing, and framing.
- Anticipate communication needs related to organizational change, priorities, and milestones.
Measurement
Define metrics for internal communications (engagement, reach, sentiment, effectiveness).
- Analyze channel performance and feedback to continuously optimize strategy and execution.
- Use insights to refine messaging, cadence, and formats over time.
Team Enablement & Collaboration
- Provide strategic direction, feedback, and prioritization to the Communications Specialist.
- Ensure strong collaboration between strategy and execution, enabling smooth delivery of campaigns, recognition, and events communications.
- Build scalable processes, templates, and playbooks to support sustainable communications delivery.
Skills & Experience
- Strong storytelling, editorial judgment, and narrative development skills.
- Proven experience developing and executing internal communication strategies.
- Executivelevel written and verbal communication skills; confident advising senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing and optimizing multiple communication channels.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to measure and improve communication impact.
- Strong project management and coordination skills
