Partnering closely with Data, MarTech, and Brand teams, we use our Orchestration Engine to activate firstparty data responsibly and at scale, ensuring communications are timely, relevant and compliant. Purpose of the Role The Associate Director owns the endtoend strategy, delivery and optimisation of multichannel lifecycle journeys. You will evolve our capabilities from emailcentric campaigns to realtime, insightdriven orchestration using our CDP and journey platforms, cover-ing acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, retention and reengagement. You combine creative thinking with analytical rigour, a strong bias to automation, and relentless focus on customer value, scalability and compliance. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Oversight . Lead and develop two core teams: o Orchestration / Marketing Automation (email, messaging, push, in-app, journey execution) o Publishing (website content updates, page builds, releases, and governance) . Set clear direction, priorities, and ways of working for both teams. . Coach managers and senior specialists, building capability, accountability, and career progression. . Ensure teams operate with strong controls, quality standards, and clear ownership. Customer Journeys & Communications . Own the strategy and delivery of multi-channel customer journeys, from onboarding and engagement to retention and re-engagement. . Shift communications from one-off campaigns to more automated, trigger-based and lifecycle-led approaches. . Ensure communications are relevant, well-timed, and aligned across channels and touchpoints. . Work with Brand and Content teams to ensure messaging is consistent and on-brand. Website Publishing & Governance . Oversee the publishing and release of website content, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness. . Put in place clear processes for content updates, approvals, testing, and releases. . Balance speed to market with risk management, compliance, and governance. . Partner with digital, UX, and technology teams to continuously improve how content is delivered online. Operations, Governance & Compliance . Establish and maintain clear operating models, governance, and controls across orchestration and publishing. . Ensure all communications meet regulatory, privacy, and consent requirements. . Own quality assurance, change management, and incident management processes. . Manage budgets, capacity planning, and prioritisation across teams. Measurement & Continuous Improvement . Define success metrics for journeys, communications, and publishing activity. . Use performance data and testing to improve engagement and effectiveness over time. . Share insights and recommendations with senior stakeholders to guide future decisions. Stakeholder & Partner Management . Act as a senior partner to Marketing, Product, Data, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams. . Translate business needs into clear, deliverable plans for your teams. . Manage external partners and vendors, where required. Experience and Qualifications . 12+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, or digital marketing. . Proven people leadership experience, ideally across multiple specialist teams. . Strong understanding of multi-channel customer communications and digital publishing. . Comfortable operating in a regulated environment, with a clear appreciation of risk and compliance. . Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership. . Confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and bring teams together. . Knowledge of Financial Services (asset management/personal investing) is desirable clear, compliant storytelling -- not copywriting - is the team's remit. . Understanding of GDPR/UK Data Protection and PECR experience operationalising consent and preferences. . Programme and project management capability across parallel initiatives, vendors and markets budget ownership experi-ence.
