Role Description

The CDE (Common Data Environment) and BIM Expert is a full-time, on-site role with initial posting in Bengaluru for 9-12 months and then back to the HO in Delhi-NCR.

Minimum Qualification: Graduate in Engineering (B Tech Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical)

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years experience in the field of infrastructure projects (Railway/ Airport/ Shipyard/ Refinery building) including large-scale infrastructure and manufacturing plants (Steel & Power plant)
• Expertise in implementing CDE (Common data Environment).
• Proficient in BIM & Planning tools like Primavera P6 and MS Projects.
• Exposure of Dashboard and Reporting tool like Power BI
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to handle large-scale projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning Integration

• Map project schedule (WBS, milestones, activities) to the monitoring system.
• Configure planned vs. actual dates tracking and variance alerts.
• Link schedule updates to automated dashboard refresh.

2. Data Storage (CDE)

• Set up a structured repository with role-based access for all planning, BIM, and progress data.
• Define folder/container naming and version control rules (ISO 19650 style).
• Automate ingestion of schedule files, 3D models, and field reports.

3. Approval Workflows

• Design status workflows: Draft → Review → Approved → Published for schedule changes and model updates.
• Define approval gates (e.g., planner approves activity update, BIM coordinator approves model).
• Configure email/system notifications for pending reviews and rejected items.

4. 4D Simulation

• Link 3D model elements to schedule activities (task ID mapping).
• Set up timeline playback to visualize planned construction sequence vs. actual progress.
• Enable clash detection between schedule logic and spatial sequencing.
