Commodity Trader Manual Arbitrage & Spread Trading

Company Description

Astra Capital is a proprietary trading firm focused on Indian markets. We are looking for a manual trader to identify and execute commodity spread and relative-value opportunities on MCX.

Responsibilities

• Identify and trade relative value opportunities in multiple MCX contracts, including Gold, Silver, Copper, Zinc etc.
• Execute and manage calendar spreads and other commodity relative-value trades in Futures and options.
• Monitor prices, market depth and liquidity to determine entries and exits.
• Manage miltiple legs of each trade, controlling execution risk and unhedged exposure.
• Track P&L, transaction costs, margins and position limits.
• Manage contract rolls and exit positions before applicable delivery deadlines.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant commodity or derivatives trading experience.
• Hands-on experience manually executing futures spreads or arbitrage strategies on Greeksoft/Convex.
• Strong understanding of MCX contracts, lot sizes, expiries and margin requirements.
• Disciplined risk management and the ability to make timely trading decisions.
• Ability to explain previous trading strategies and demonstrate results after costs.
