Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Head – Commissioning to lead commissioning activities for a large-scale EPC solar project in Uzbekistan. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in solar power plant commissioning, grid integration, and leadership of complex, utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all commissioning activities for the solar EPC project, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
- Develop and implement commissioning strategies, procedures, and schedules for large-scale solar plants with grid connection.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage commissioning teams, contractors, and third-party service providers to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure proper documentation, testing, and validation of systems before handover to operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases.
- Liaise with grid operators and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth grid integration and compliance with local standards.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to commissioning engineers and staff.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Full-time Engineering Degree (Electrical/Mechanical preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of overall experience in commissioning, with at least the last 5 years in a leadership role handling large, complex solar projects as Head – Commissioning.
- Proven track record in commissioning utility-scale solar projects with successful grid connection.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, substations, SCADA, and grid integration protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in multicultural environments and adapt to international project settings.
Preferred Attributes
- Hands-on experience with commissioning of solar plants above 100 MW capacity.
- Familiarity with international EPC standards and practices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Willingness to relocate and work full-time in Uzbekistan during the project duration.
